Presentation
A clear oily solution for injection. Two strengths are available:
25 mg Nandrolone Laurate per ml
50 mg Nandrolone Laurate per ml
Both presentations also contain 10.4 % w/v Benzyl alcohol.
Uses
Nandrolone is a testosterone derivative which can be used in the supportive management of chronic renal failure.
Dosage and administration
Species Dosage
Dog 2 - 5 mg/kg
Cat 2 - 5 mg/kg
As with all hormone therapy there can be considerable variation in response to treatment; the above dosages may need to be adjusted according to clinical response. Treatment may be repeated every 21 days.
Administer by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, observing usual aseptic precautions.
Contra-indications, warnings, etc.
Androgenic side effects may be seen in animals treated with Laurabolin, especially in entire female animals.
Laurabolin should not be used in pregnant animals.
The product may cause a strong urine odour in cats.
Use in pregnancy may result in virilisation of the foetus, therefore it is advisable that pregnant women avoid administering this product.
To be used with caution in known cases of hepatic impairment.
User warnings
Avoid accidental self-injection of this product.
Wash hands after use.

Pharmaceutical precautions
Laurabolin should be protected from light. Do not store above 25°C. Swab the septum before removing each dose. Use a dry sterile needle and syringe. At low temperature the product may become viscous. Warming the product in the hand will return the contents to the normal state.
Avoid the introduction of contamination during use.
Following withdrawal of the first dose, use the product within 28 days. When the container is broached (opened) for the first time, use the in-use shelf life which is specified on the package leaflet to calculate the date on which any remaining product should be discarded. This discard date should be written in the space provided on the label.
Dispose of any unused product and empty containers in accordance with guidance from your local waste regulation authority.

Further information
Laurabolin may be used to continue treatment initiated with similarly acting oral preparations. Such preparations may also be used to continue therapy commenced with Laurabolin to allow more rapid termination of treatment if necessary.
