The vaccine is administered to breeding stock as a 2ml intramuscular injection, previously non-vaccinated gilts or sows require 2 injections 5-6 weeks apart, the second vaccination not being closer than 2 weeks pre-farrowing. For subsequent farrowings sows require a single 2ml vaccination.
Porcilis Ery A vaccine for the active immunisation of breeding stock and growing pigs to control swine erysiplelas. Gilts, sows and boars previously non-vaccinated require a 2ml dose of Porcilis Ery given intramuscularly, a 2nd vaccination is then given 4 weeks later. Porcilis Ery may be given during lactation, at weaning or during pregnancy. Growing pigs may be vaccinated from 6 weeks of age with the above dose and intervals. 25 and 50 dose vials are available.
