Rain, rain go away, the lungworm larvae came out to play

Britain's wettest summer on record has also been a bumper year for the lungworm parasite, Dictyocaulus viviparus.  Latest NADIS data shows a significant increase in outbreaks reported for October - 25% above last year and reaching the long term average for the first time in five years.
