Protecting heifers before turnout

Now's the time to make sure your high value dairy heifers are fully protected against bovine leptospirosis.  Turnout often heralds the mixing of cattle for the first time and the disease spreads easily between infected and uninfected animals.  The disease causes fertility problems and latest figures from Kingshay suggest an extended calving interval is now costing £4.90 per day.
