Bulk protection for lambs

Intervet has launched a 500-lamb all-in-one vaccination pack for its Ovivac-P Plus^®.  The pack contains sufficient vaccine to give 500 lambs the two doses they need for their primary vaccination course.  Also contained in this handy pack is a free Rapi-jector II vaccinator gun and the useful Intervet sheep vaccination timing calculator. 

The company is advising farmers to pay particular attention to their vaccination schedules this season to ensure adequate protection against clostridial diseases and pneumonia is provided to the new crop of lambs.  The first dose of Ovivac- P Plus can be given to lambs as early as three weeks of age.  This dose primes the lamb’s immune system, but alone will not give them the level of immunity and protection they require.  Only by giving a second dose of the same vaccine 4-6 weeks after the initial injection will lambs be adequately immunised.
